What kind of reels are compatible with SHU?
SHU can be used with any type of reel, but it’s especially effective for baitcasting reels due to their internal structure. It’s particularly well-suited for vintage baitcasting reels that can be disassembled and reassembled—you’ll notice a significant improvement in performance after applying SHU.
How often should I apply SHU to my reel?
Apply SHU before each fishing trip, or anytime you want to enhance your reel’s performance. During use, dust and small particles in the air can settle on your gear, potentially reducing its smoothness and accuracy. Regular application helps maintain optimal performance.
How many drops of SHU should I use?
Just a few drops per key part of the reel are sufficient.
Should I apply SHU to the fishing line as well?
No, it’s not necessary. Our testing showed that applying SHU to the line did not improve casting distance, accuracy, or other performance metrics.
Is SHU Eco-Friendly?
Yes! SHU is free from toxic chemicals, has no odor, and is completely clear—making it safe for both you and the environment.
